Myanmar, or Burma as it's still more familiarly known in the West, is a country where magnificent and ancient Buddhist temples gaze out serenely over a nation restless for change. Myanmar has plenty of wonders for the eye-slow sinuous rivers, lush mountain forests, and intricately-drawn cities. It's an extraordinary country of golden pagodas and golden dreams. A kaleidoscope of antiquities, picturesque landscapes, colorful markets and graceful people await you. To this day Burma remains one of the most mysterious and undiscovered destinations in the world.

Our focus for this trip is on dealing with change and transition. After exploring magical places like Inle Lake and Rangoon, we will spend three powerful and inspiring days on the exotic and sultry Irrawaddy River, meandering our way from the old capital of Mandalay to the ancient temples of Bagan. In the course of our river voyage, we'll bring in the year 2007, contemplating change and resolutions under a balmy Burmese night sky.
