Our Philosophy: We believe that all great travel experiences are the result of a partnership built upon trust and responsibility. Our role is to help you choose and prepare for a journey that exceeds your expectations. Your role is to select a journey that best matches your interests, needs and abilities. Once the journey begins, we will do everything possible to ensure your enjoyment, and we rely on you to tell us if something is not working. Success in both roles requires us to be honest with each other upfront about the risks and rewards of travel and the realities and limitations of the traveler experience. We have one of the highest repeat traveler rates in the business because we are honest about our journeys, we stand behind our experiences, and we listen to what our travelers tell us. Reservations: To reserve a place on this journey, please click here. We also accept reservations through travel agents. We accept credit cards or checks for the initial deposit, and the balance can be paid by check, credit card, money order, or any other method that suits your convenience. Deposits must be received within 7 days of the booking in order to protect your reservation. Early reservations are recommended, since our group size is limited and some programs sell out far in advance. Note that certain other non-refundable items may require full payment at the time of reservation.

Journey Prices: We guarantee that your journey price will not change once we have received your deposit. All journey prices are in US dollars, and are based on double or single occupancy (note that on some trips, triples may be available).

Solo Travelers: Solo travelers are some of our favorite people, and while the travel industry in general often seems to penalize them for traveling solo, we will do everything possible to accommodate and include them with minimal penalty. Solo travelers wishing to occupy a private room must pay the single supplement (essentially the surcharge hotels charge us for single occupancy). Solo travelers wishing to share a twin room with another solo traveler (and thereby avoid the single supplement) should make this wish known at the time of booking and we will do everything possible to find a matching pair. The trip price based on a shared arrangement will be guaranteed at 90 days if we have succeeded in finding a partner. Regrettably, if one person in a shared arrangements cancels for any reason outside of 90 days, or if we are unable to find a partner, the remaining solo traveler will be required to pay the single supplement.

Disabilities: We are committed to the belief that medical conditions or disabilities shouldn't prevent people from experiencing the joys of travel, but we rely upon the travelers to disclose this information to us at the time of booking. We will do everything possible to accommodate traveler conditions at a reasonable cost, including finding local companions to provide assistance, but in some situations we may require the traveler to be accompanied by a qualified companion for the duration of the trip. Any traveler who fails to disclose such a condition at the time of booking may be removed from the tour and sent home at their expense and with the loss of any unused portion of the journey price.

Cancellations: We regret that occasionally it is necessary to cancel a journey, and we reserve the right to cancel any journey at any time for any reason if there are too few participants or if our judgment the quality of the journey or the safety of the travelers will be compromised. In such circumstances, refund of all payments received by us shall constitute full settlement. We are not responsible for any additional loss incurred on travel arrangements or air tickets due to a trip cancellation.

Traveler Cancellations: If a traveler cancels a trip more than 90 days before a departure, we will refund the deposit less an administration fee of $250US per person. Cancellations within 90 days are subject to significant cancellation penalties that correspond to the timing and scale of our financial risk in relation to the departure. The risk results from non-recoverable advance payments that we make on your behalf to local suppliers and government agencies, communication expenses, and the loss of time to re-sell your space. We commit to investing the time, energy and resources in researching, planning and operating our journeys, and we ask our travelers to commit to investing in managing their risk through the purchase of trip cancellation insurance. If it becomes necessary for you to cancel you trip, you should notify us in writing immediately. The cancellation terms are as follows:

Transfers: Travelers may transfer to other trips offered by the Next Fork in the same calendar year for an administration fee of $50US per person by notifying us no later than 90 days prior to the departure date of their trip.

Changes: Published itineraries are subject to change or modification at any time at our discretion due to changing conditions in the field. Any changes to the reservation at the request of the traveler are subject to an administrative fee of $50US per person.

Taxes: All taxes related are not included. Please review your invoice for details.

Visas: Visas may be required to enter some of the countries on our itineraries, and in certain cases additional costs may be involved. We don't include the costs of these visas in our journey prices, but we do offer a pre-journey service of arranging your visa for you. Please contact us or ask your travel agent for details.
